The foundation is now ready. what could be next?

The driveway and steps have now been poured. We plan to push people down the steps that are not welcome on our property! The gound surrounding the property has also been compacted. We were told by Hearthstone Homes that the earth will be moved several more times before it is done. Here are some new pictures we shot today. You can see the driveway from the front left side. You can see the famous people who will eventually move into the house. On the other 3 photos you can see the back yard and the approximate property line. Click on each image to see a larger version!

The fort is up, no intruders can come in.

The foundation has now been built! The next step will be to pour concrete in the driveway and on the basement floor. With all the rain in the last few days it hasn't gone as fast as anticipated.

The site is ready!

It is October 13th, 2007 and our first home is now ready to be built! The contrators has finally started moving the dirt making the land ready for the foundation to be built. Every week or every other week we will update this blog on the progress of our home. The neighborhood is in west Omaha. The home is being built by Hearthstone Homes. So far our experience has been very positive.
